  1. Dear Joan,

I have been researching my family roots and and came across your book ‘Oh Grandmama’
I read it through the night and could not put it down. I am actually related to your Miller family in Malta and have quite a bit of information. I think you will find that Emma’s first daughter was not Anita but Alessandra after her mother Alessandrina. Please make contact with me.

  2. Hello cousin (I believe)
Just seen your story of grandma Boella-Miller, am looking forward to reading it. I remember her living with us in Southampton.
Was with cousin Paul Delion yesterday, who told me about your book. I have done something on the family history for my children – will let you have copy if it’s of interest to you.
    Auguri,

    Mike

  3. Good morning Joan. I have just discovered, through my cousin Michael Boella, that you are my first cousin, also. My name is Mario Giuseppe Boella, son of Mario Clodio Boella ( born in Rome to Emma and Giovanni Boella, in 1911). I was born in Oxford in 1942 , I now live, with my wife of 52 years, in a village named Durley, near Southampton. My sister Bonita, is like you, an artist and lives in Bosham, near Chichester.
I do remember your mother, Iris, she visited us several times. She was then living on the Isle of Shelley.
If you’d like to contact me, please do.
    My telephone number is 02380601085
